Specialties: Individual, Couples & Marriage, Children/Adolescents/Teens
Location(s): Mentor, Telehealth
About
Mary Beth’s goal is to create space for you — a space where you can breathe, be honest, explore what’s really going on beneath the surface, and reconnect with your own strength. Therapy with her is collaborative, warm, and practical. You’ll build skills you can actually use, explore patterns with curiosity rather than criticism, and work toward feeling more aligned, present, and emotionally supported. “You deserve care that sees you as a whole person. I’m here to walk alongside you as you rediscover clarity, confidence, and a life that feels like yours again.”
Mary Beth’s path to becoming a therapist was shaped by what she witnessed in her community. Over the years, she saw more and more people experiencing life-changing trauma, unexpected losses, and barriers to feeling truly supported. What stood out to her wasn’t just the struggles themselves — it was how many people were carrying them alone. That realization is what pulled her toward social work and ultimately into practicing therapy.
Mary Beth earned her Graduate Degree from Cleveland State University, is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio, and has been practicing in community health since 2020.
Her focus and interests are led by helping clients navigate anxiety, overwhelming transitions, self-doubt, and the pressure to “hold it all together.” Her approach blends ACT, CBT, and DBT, while incorporating the mind–body connection — because she believes healing happens when we care for the whole person, not just the symptoms.

About
There are many approaches to therapy. Mine is through directness and curiosity, and I use humor when it fits, as therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy to be meaningful. I’m interested in how you think, how you make meaning, and what’s actually getting in the way of you reaching your goals. My aim is to really understand how you see the things that matter to you, while also bringing direction to the work. Ideally, therapy should move somewhere.
My approach draws from a mix of evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Animal-Assisted Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, along with Narrative and Bibliotherapeutic work. Pieced together, sometimes we’ll work practically and directly, while other times we’ll zoom out and look at the larger patterns and narratives underneath.
I work with adults and older teens navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, and that less easily definable sense of being stuck or off-course. Some people come in knowing exactly what they want to work on, while others just know something isn’t quite right.
My background greatly influences my work today. My mother was a French teacher who helped bring a sense of the wider world to small town Ohio. My father worked in folk art and oddities, preserving pieces of the past and finding beauty in the unconventional. Combined with my own work alongside various populations and my travels to over 35 countries, I’ve learned that there are many ways to live a life, with no single correct path. This perspective carries into my sessions with you.
If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are, but also help you think differently, challenge stuck patterns, and move forward with your goals, we may be a good fit.

About
Kristina is an independently licensed social worker and a certified Instinctual Trauma Response (ITR) therapist.
She has experience working with children, teenagers, adults, and families in community health, non-profit agencies, and private practice settings. Her primary clinical focus and passion have been working with individuals with post-traumatic stress disorders.
If you struggle with nightmares or flashbacks and have feelings of abandonment, rejection, and grief, you may be “stuck” in your trauma. The Instinctual Trauma Response Method of treatment incorporates the principles of art therapy and narrative therapy. The goal of treatment is to move traumas from the right side of the brain to the left, which allows the trauma to be stored as past events.
Following treatment, clients have reported feelings of relief, clarity, hope, and an overall decrease in symptoms. Kristina also has a particular interest and experience working with families dealing with multiracial adoptions and helping underrepresented clients deal with societal issues that often cause depression and anxiety.
Her approach is strength-based and client-centered, and by utilizing methods from the Internal Family Systems approach (IFS), she creates a calm environment to help people connect with themselves on a deeper level and manage symptoms causing disruptions to daily life.
Kristina is offering virtual appointments only through a safe and secure portal.
