DO I NEED THERAPY?
Life can be tough—whether you’re dealing with family issues, relationship struggles, career stress, or feeling lost or unloved. Sometimes these challenges cause emotional symptoms that impact your daily life or leave you feeling isolated. While self-care and support from loved ones can help, it’s not always enough. Meeting with one of our licensed therapists can help you figure out if therapy is the right next step. Simply request an appointment, and we’ll guide you from there.
At our practice, we do not bill insurance for couples counseling. Insurance typically covers services deemed “medically necessary,” which requires a mental health diagnosis for treatment. Since couples counseling focuses on the relationship rather than addressing a medical diagnosis, it does not qualify for insurance billing. Our couples therapy sessions are $150 per session.
Our therapists are available every day of the week, including nights and weekends, but each clinician sets their own schedule. If you need a specific time, let us know when booking so we can match you with the right therapist. Our admin team is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

If you don’t see your insurance listed, you still have some options. You may pay with cash, check, credit card, or with your health savings account. Some insurance companies will even accept a receipt (superbill) showing that you have paid for services and will then reimburse you directly.

No, you do not. Many people opt for Self Pay to retain their right to control their therapy. Without the involvement of the insurance company a diagnosis is not required, there’s no cap on how many sessions or the type of therapy, and most importantly, insurance companies don’t have access to your records.

Absolutely! Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

Yes, for the most part, your information is kept private. We cannot share any details with your spouse, partner, parent, or child unless you provide written consent. However, there are a few exceptions where we are required by law to act in order to keep you and others safe, including:

  • Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or disabled person
  • If we believe you’re in danger of harming yourself or someone else
  • If you report an intent to physically harm someone, we must inform that person and legal authorities
